AUDITIONS: 4,000 MILES

Modjeska Playhouse is seeking actors for our upcoming production of 4,000 MILES, a play by Amy Herzog, directed by Joe Alanes.

AUDITIONS: THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 6 – 7 p.m.

SYNOPSIS: After suffering a major loss while cycling cross-country, Leo ends his journey at his grandmother’s Greenwich Village apartment. The dramatic comedy examines complicated family relationships and how people deal with loss.

ALL ROLES AVAILABLE.
Seeking actors for the following roles:

• VERA JOSEPH – female, able to play 91-year-old grandmother, feisty, independent.
• LEO JOSEPH-CONNELL – male (early 20’s) outwardly easygoing, sensitive, strong, lean, long-distance cyclist.
• BEC – female (early 20’s), college student, athletic, serious, mature.
• AMANDA – female (late teens, early 20’s), Chinese-American, outgoing, trendy, slightly off-beat.

Non-Union. No Pay.

Performance dates: April 24 – May 10, 2020

REHEARSAL, PRODUCTION DATES & LOCATION:
Rehearsals begin Monday, March 16, 2020. two to three weekday evenings and a few weekend rehearsals. All rehearsals are at Modjeska Playhouse.

The production runs April 24 – May 10, 2020, Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays 4 p.m. & 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 5 p.m.

FOR AUDITION: 
You will be asked to cold read from the script. If you have a monologue prepared, that’s a plus but not required.
